5,433 designers from around the world competed in the competition, which required them to design products and places inspired by the concept design of the Fiat 500. In anticipation of the launch of the new Fiat 500 model, scheduled for September 15, 2007, Fiat has introduced several creative innovations in order to impress the public with the new model's design.

There were three categories in the competition: design of car accessories, design of lifestyle products, and design of places and spaces - such as streets, parking areas, stores, pubs, and more. In addition to the acclaim for winning the competition, Onutchin also received a monetary prize of 5000 Euros.

Another prominent component in the design of the vacuum cleaner are two tiny LED lights in the front of the vacuum cleaner that illuminate dark corners of the car and give the vacuum the look of a car.
