Israeli Center for Research of Polymers and Advanced Materials
 
The Polymer Science Laboratories at Shenkar College are dedicated in the name of Joseph Sagol the founder of Keter Plastics, and are one of the most advanced research laboratories in this field in the world. The Center offers industry a broad spectrum of applied research services and development of processes, materials and products. 
 
The Center employs 20 researchers and 10 technicians who work on research projects in the areas of nano-technology; branched polymers, bio-polymers and conventional polymers for applications: aviation, food, medical, electronic, packaging, automotive and agricultural industries. Advanced research projects are currently being carried out with leading international companies in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, Norway and the USA.
 
The Center is carrying out a number of development programs for the Israeli Plastics and Rubber Industries under the MAGNET program – the Development of Technological Infrastructure for the Industry. The Center initiated a number of consortia of industries for study and applications of nano-technology and bio-degradable polymers in advanced products.
